You’re looking for all the leverage you can get with the local search engines. You want your business to be found online, especially in your local community. You’ve listed your business with Google, Yahoo, and Bing in their local pages; and optimized it as much as possible. Is there more you can do? Without spending more money? Yes there is. It’s called Thumbtack.
Thumbtack
Thumbtack is a marketplace for local services, but with many more enhancements other local search options don’t give you…without having to spend money. With Thumbtack the more you enhance your presence, the higher they will list your business. They have a menu of options that award points for each enhancement you add to your site. They have a status bar that keeps track of your progress and makes suggestions for you to get more points.
This blog post is one way I am earning more points for my business listing. Of course when you link back to your own business listing you pick up added SEO ‘juice’ with the search engines because the folks at Thumbtack have done a good job of optimizing their site with your listing.
Go ahead and check it out for yourself, and while you’re there take a look at out listing too.
